Ammonite Unveils Colour Stalight Camera
Since moving into the all-new state-of-the-art workshop we’ve been beavering away making final adjustments to our latest development….
… The all-new Ammonite Colour Starlight camera is finally here.

Last year we did some amazing work using a prototype version of this camera, recording spectacular behaviour including bioluminescent creatures doing what they do best, making their own light. Catch a glimpse of some of this in a clip from Hunt for the Giant Squid, the film we made last year.
Testing has been extensive.
All this year we have been out and about at night testing the Colour Starlight camera, footage of the camera team wandering around Somerset woodland doesn’t quite pack the same punch as the bioluminescence we filmed in the world’s oceans last year, but we were nevertheless very pleased with the results. We could see clearly in the depths of a moonless night.
Next stop for this ground-breaking camera?
In a few days we head to one of our favourite places, the Masai Mara in Kenya – we’ll keep you posted.
